How to Set Up the Dog Pod in the Backseat (With or Without Isofix)Updated 2 hours ago
🔗 Option 1: Using Isofix (2.0 Pods only)
If your Pod has Isofix hooks on the back, and your vehicle has Isofix anchor points:
Position the Pod on the seat with the logo and zippers facing forward
Locate the two large Isofix hooks on the back of the Pod
Push the Pod back until the hooks click into the car’s Isofix bars
Gently tug to confirm they’re locked in place
Attach the top strap (see below) for additional stability
Isofix offers a faster, more stable setup — especially if you move the Pod between vehicles.
🎒 Option 2: Strap Installation (Works with all Pods)
1. Prepare the seat:
Lower your backseat
Take one of the provided straps and loop it around the back of the seat
Bring the seat back upright, ensuring the strap stays in place
2. Position the Pod:
Place it on the seat with the logo and zippers facing the front of the car
3. Secure the side strap:
Locate the D-rings on either side of the Pod (above the pockets)
Clip the strap (from behind the seat) to these side D-rings
4. Secure the top strap:
Find the top D-ring near the handle of the Pod
Loop the second strap around the seat’s headrest and fasten it to this top D-ring
Pull the strap to tighten until the Pod feels snug
🐾 Safety for Your Dog:
Once the Pod is secure, help your dog into the Pod
Use the built-in safety leash inside to clip to their harness (not a collar)
You’ll find an extra safety leash in the side pocket — useful for a second dog or as a spare
Final Check:
The Pod should feel snug and stable
Your dog should be comfortable, seated securely, and able to settle naturally
Never drive without attaching your dog’s harness to the safety leash
