How big is the XL Travel Dog Pod?

The XL Dog Pod is our largest size — designed for medium to large breeds, or for two smaller dogs who like to travel together.

It offers extra space while maintaining the same plush comfort, safety, and premium finish as the Original.

External Dimensions:

Width (across the seat): 1 metre
Depth (front to back): 52cm
Back height: 44cm
Side wall height: 27cm

The XL Pod will occupy two car seats of space, so it’s best suited to larger vehicles or spacious back seats.

It can also be set up in the boot.

How does it fit in the car?

The XL Pod can be installed in two ways, depending on whether you’re using Isofix or the included strap system:

Option 1 –

Using Isofix

To connect via Isofix, the Pod must be placed centrally on the back seat, where both Isofix bars are accessible.

Option 2 –

Using the original straps

If you’re not using Isofix, the XL Pod can be secured using the traditional strap system.

This gives you more flexibility — you can place the Pod flush with the door on one side, freeing up the far side seat for a passenger or child seat.

Both methods are safe and secure — it just depends on what works best for your setup.
